If you’ve come to this page it’s because you want to stay in touch with my progress in the Transcontinental Race. I’ll try to post updates here but I suspect I may lack the energy to say anything sensible at the end of the day. Instead I will post in a few places, there will be automatic tracking and you may pick up reports about my progress from social media. Here is what you need to know:
- Like all riders in the race I will carry a Spot tracker – a GPS device that transmits my location every 10 minutes. You will be able to see my track on the race website or better still www.dotwatcher.cc which will also provide regular updates on the progress of the race (I don’t expect to feature in these!).
- I will try to post photos and stories on my Instagram account to give a flavour of where I’m going and what I’m seeing.
- I’m setting up a supporters WhatsApp group where I will give regular updates about how I’m feeling, what’s going on and where I’ve reached. If you would like to be included drop me a message via the contact form on this page or another route and I will add you. Please stay civil as my mother will be on it…
- Hashtags. The race has official ones and I’ve developed a few of my own which you may see popping up on social media. My official one is #TCRNo6Cap108 I will also be using #tachecontinental and #thedomestiquatedanimal.
